 
John Coslett recently completed his fourth season with the Butler Community College football program as the Running Backs Coach, his 19th season overall as a football coach.
Coslett has coached a 1,000-yard rusher in three of his four seasons with the Grizzlies.
Coslett coached first team All-American Beau Johnson, who ran for 1,756 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2007 and was named Offensive MVP of the Top of the Mountains Bowl game in Salt Lake City, Utah.
A native of Danville, Kan., Coslett played football for Chaparral High School. He began his college career at Dodge City Community College for one season before transferring to Bethel College where he competed in both football and track for two seasons. Coslett completed his college career at Kansas State University, under the direction of then first-year head coach Bill Snyder.
While completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Kansas State University, Coslett began his coaching career as as a volunteer assistant coach with the running backs at Kansas State in 1989. After joining the military, Coach Coslett returned to football as a Wide Receivers Coach for Wamego High School. Coslett’s first head coaching position came in 1995 at Syracuse High School. He moved closer to family in 1997, becoming an assistant offensive coordinator for Belleville High School. Coslett spent the next seven years as a high school head coach - four years at Larned High School and three at El Dorado High School, before joining Troy Morrell's staff at Butler Community College.
Coslett is married to Jen (Wallentine) Coslett of Manhattan, Kansas. They are the proud parents of Leini, Gunner, Emma and newborn son Brodie.
