Holly Schaffner began coaching the Butler Spirit Squad in 2005.She has 9 years of direct coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. While coaching Dexter High school in New Mexico, her squad won the 1999 state High School Championship.

She has 16 years of experience choreographing cheerleading cheers, chants,dances,competitive routines and half-time shows professionally as well as 16 years experience judging tryouts and competitions across the country. She worked as an instructor, head instructor and choreographer for the National Cheerleaders Association for 12 years and traveled to the Hula Bowl in 2002 to help organize the half -time show. During her time with NCA she received several honors for her loyalty and dedication to the company.

Coach Schaffner cheered at Northwest Missouri State University from 1991-1995 and was a collegiate All- American cheerleader. Northwest Missouri's squad placed 4th at NCA Nationals Division IAA/II her junior year and was the top Division II school that year. Schaffner attended Winnetonka High School in Kansas City where she was a co- captain for the cheer squad. The squad attended NCA nationals several times and ranked as high as 12th in the nation

Schaffner received her bachelor's degree in Elementary education from Eastern New Mexico University and taught elementary school for 6 years prior to her current position as a sales representative for Varsity and Cheerleader & DavzTeam apparel and NCA and UCA camps.

She is married to Tim Schaffner with daughter Tommie Morgan, age 4.
